The Pax Art Awards
With the art prizes, the Art Foundation Pax, in collaboration with the HeK, the House of Electronic Arts Basel, will be honoring and promoting media-specific approaches of Swiss artists whose works employ media technologies and reflect their effects. The works of the award winners purchased for the collection of the Art Foundation Pax will be exhibited at the HeK Basel during the awards ceremony.
The Art Foundation Pax will be awarding three prizes each. With an award and prize money of CHF 30,000, the Art Foundation Pax, in collaboration with the HeK, the House of Electronic Arts Basel, honors and promotes media-specific approaches by Swiss artists whose works employ media technologies and reflect their effects. The Art Foundation Pax supports these artists by providing CHF 15,000 from the prize money for the production of a new work. A further CHF 15,000 is used to acquire a work by these artists for the collection of the Art Foundation Pax. Two further awards will be presented to young, up-and-coming media artists, who will each receive CHF 15,000 including prize money and the purchase of a work.
Artists cannot actively apply for the prizes, but will be nominated and selected by a jury.

The members of the Board of Trustees of the Art Foundation Pax also have the right to attend.
