In the spring of the following year, existing and new works by the three Pax Art Awards prizewinners are normally shown in an exhibition at HEK Basel.

The exhibition Esther Hunziker, Stefan Karrer, Alfatih. Swiss Media Art – Pax Art Awards 2024 shows new and existing works by the winners of the Pax Art Awards 2024 in three parallel solo exhibitions from 15 February to 27 April 2025. Basel-based artist Esther Hunziker was awarded the main prize. Two additional prizes were given to Stefan Karrer, also from Basel and residing in Vienna, and Alfatih, residing in Western Switzerland.

Although their approaches differ thematically, all three artists explore a key topic in contemporary art: artificial intelligence. They actively engage with AI software, using it in their work with both creativity and critical awareness. Their newly created works explore AI’s poetic and storytelling potential while examining the boundaries between the human-made and machine-made.
